Released to coincide with Andy Holden's performance of the "Quartet for Thingly Time" at Kettle's Yard, Cambridge, the first issue of Teufel- INK will be published in memory of Daniel Frank Cox. Exploring the unfinished idea of our lost friend, being "Thingly Time and the Chewy Cosmos", Andy Holden, Simon O'Sullivan, Andrew Osbourne, Joe Saunders and Richard H**e contribute to this sprawling, joyo
us, infectious compendium. Addressing tangentially the problems of archiving the unfinished concept that has no definitive object we write primarily to celebrate the life of a dear friend - to generate myriad possibilities where there is seemingly only loss - to quote two of his most cherished philosophers:
"[B]etween sensible and intelligible, between word and thing, is not the colorless abyss of the Nothing but the luminous spiral of the possible." (Deleuze & Guattari, A Thousand Plateaus)
Any profits made will be split between generating the next issue and a continuing contribution towards the Goldsmith's memorial bursary set up in Dan's memory.
