FINAL DAY IN OUR HOMEPORT OF SINGAPORE! After 5 months of visiting our homeport - Singapore 2 days a week, we spent our final day at the beautiful Fort Canning park.

I truly have made the most of every second in Singapore and would recommend anyone to visit in a heartbeat - I just love it! I could so live there, it’s one of my fave places and has felt like home these last months.

If you are heading to Singapore let me know and I’ll give you my fave recommendations, but I’m glad we finished our calls here on Fort Canning and we found a beautiful hideaway restaurant in the middle of the forest there - 📍Le Jardin so definitely add that one to your list.

Penultimate Penang port of call 🇲🇾 and of course we had to keep the brunch tradition going and do one last tour of the street art in George Town, because it’s pretty cute and in all different places around the town so it’s like a treasure hunt trying to locate each one 🎨🖌️.

We went to and I had the best bagel there 🤤 so I recommend that to try if you’re in George Town.

It’s also sooooo hot and humid in Penang so whenever you walk around in George Town, take a fan and lots of water and wear as little clothes as possible 😂 we always call it the walk of sweat 😅 but would opt for that than a winter in England so I’m not complaining 🤷🏽‍♀️.

When you spend almost 24/7 with people for over 6 months, including Christmas, birthdays, you work, explore, dance, have highs and lows together…. Your shipmates become family ✨.

Our lovely ship bubble is full of incredible people, and it’s such a wonderful place to be, people are generally here for the same thing… to work, travel and have the best time with new friends.

You do get used to people constantly embarking and disembarking the ship throughout your contract, as you don’t tend to ever match contracts with others, but it’s quite an adjustment when your closest disembark.

I feel so incredibly lucky that this contract has bought such special people into my life that will be here for a very long time, (and when you’re in your 30s… you may not think you can meet new people and find such close friends you just click with, but I definitely have ☺️).

And here, we said bye to our Betty - we took her to Singapore airport with emotional goodbyes, as she got ready to fly 15 hours back home… whilst we prepare for heading back to Europe via sea instead. 🌊

Byeeeee Betty (just as well she lives 10 mins away from me at home, despite meeting on the ship 😂) 👋🏼💜😘.

Another special day out in Singapore. Clau and I went to the most delish vegan restaurant then bought books (I bought my dream life starts here - which I’m loving, but I do feel like I’m living my dream life already ✨✨ always do what sets your heart on fire 🙌🏼💛🔥), we had coffee, visited places in China town that I went to 7 years ago and watched the world in Singapore go by - I love this city! 🇸🇬📚✨

Christmas Day Evening magic on the ship ✨ even though we were away from family and had to work, we made the most of it with a beach day and a fab crew Christmas party in the evening - not a traditional Christmas Day but one I’ll remember with fondness ✨. Hope you’re all enjoying the few days between Christmas and New Year!

Day 32 - another amazing day exploring Colombo by tuktuk and this time, we went into the Hindu Temple - the Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil which is the largest and oldest temple in Colombo and we also went to the red and white Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque which is an amazing building but in probably the busiest street I’ve ever been down! Save this post for hot not too be missed places if you’re heading to Colombo 🇱🇰.

Getting closer to our home port for the winter now… a few more days at sea… a couple stops and we will be there - any idea where we are going? 🌎🚢

Day 31 of our transit 🚢 - an amazing day out on a tuktuk seeing all the top sights in Colombo, Sri Lanka! This was a new country for me so a very exciting day after the disappointment of not being able to get off in India!

Top tip, you may get bombarded by tuktuk drivers when you get to the port gates but keep walking out of the port and you’ll get a much better deal nearer to town 🙌🏼.

The great pyramids of Giza in Cairo were amazing! It took about 1.5/2 hours to get there by coach from Sokhna port where the ship docked.

I paid $11 to go into the third pyramid - the tunnel was tiny and sooo steep (like a red on a ski slope 😅) but I made myself go in because… after coming all this way I couldn’t not see inside the pyramid - although it’s probably not what you’d expect! (Swipe to see inside)!

I’m so glad I’ve seen them in person, and I had such a fun day with friends but do watch out as every second there’ll be people trying to sell you things 😅🛍.

Day 7 of our voyage 🚢: Back in Greece! This time on the island of Crete 🇬🇷 not the white washed wonder of Santorini, but cute, colourful and charming ✨.

Tried a Cretan salad on the waters edge as the sun came out with the gals 💙🤍 .

Any idea where our final destination is? It takes around 5 weeks to get to… 🚢

Another port of call, another country added to my list and another beautiful day out 💙. Malta has been somewhere I’ve had my eye on visiting for a while, so the fact I could come with the ship was perfect 🚢. Valletta is everything I imagined it to be and more - charming, bustling and beautiful! A perfect spot for some winter sun ✨.

We went to Barrakka gardens, ate lunch in St Julian’s square and wandered the pretty streets 🚢🇲🇹💙✨

✨Top sunset rooftop bar in Palma de Mallorca ✨

What a beautiful night on the rooftop of at sunset with my wonderful friends. Highly recommend it for a top spot to watch the sunset in Palma, Mallorca - what a find… and the sky was even more magical after sunset 🔥🔥🔥 (and I accidentally matched with one of my besties in pic 3 💙). Such a magical way to spend our last stop in Mallorca ✨.

Another gorgeous view in Santorini!
This was taken from the ruins of the Venetian Castle of Agios Nikolaos in Oia - a perfect place to watch the sunset from (although it does get very busy, so get there early!).

Since returning from Santorini, I’ve started on my next 🚢contract and we’ve been sailing all over the med - follow my stories to see we’ve been so far it’s about to get very exciting!
