Our Story

Welcome to Bosque Country Scanner. The reason this page was started is to help inform you all about major events and announcements in Bosque County as well as surrounding areas. Please be advised that this page will not be updated 24 hours a day and is done on a voluntary basis only. We hope to make this page as informational as possible. Please feel free to add events as well as incidents when possible. Thank you for liking the page and hope that we serve the community well. ***NOTICE*** This page is meant to be informative and or recreational (hobby) only.Bosque Country Scanner asks that you DO NOT try to approach or apprehend any suspects based on our posts. We encourage you to contact 911 and let the police handle the situation. Posting Policies, Guidelines & Abbreviations We would like to say welcome to all our new visitors. WELCOME!!! We would also like to take a minute to address some housekeeping items since we do have so many visitors & new followers on Facebook. This page is here to keep you informed of major events that are happening in Bosque County and surrounding areas. We do have some rules that must be followed on this page. These rules are set in stone and are not up for debate. A majority of these rules are mainly for officer & First responder safety, so please do not test them. RULES 1. If you use curse words you will be banned, no questions asked. Whether you spell them out or any abbreviation of them. 2. If you post anything derogatory or racial it is an automatic ban. 3. Do not post anything about shooting, killing or harming suspects when we post stuff. 4. NEVER post an officers location when they check out with a suspect. 5. 10-Codes will not be used at the request of the officers in the areas that we cover so please do not post them. 6. Do not go on a rant bashing the cities we cover or any of its Police Officers/Fire Fighters/EMS/Dispatchers or city officials. You have your own personal FB page and can do what you want there. It will not be tolerated here. 7. NEVER post names or nicknames of anyone. Respect everyone’s privacy. You will be banned, no questions asked. 8. Do not ask for vehicle descriptions, we will not provide them even if we have them. 9. Do not ask for updates. We will provide one if we have it.For officers safety some post will be time delayed 10. During pursuits, DO NOT comment until the pursuit is OVER. Any comments while the pursuit is in progress will be deleted and you will receive a warning, after that you will be banned. This is so other can be aware of where the pursuit and is for everyone safety.First responder & officers safety will always be our #1 priority 11. Keep politics out of discussions. We respect your views but don’t believe they belong on the page. 12. We are NOT affiliated with any of the police, fire or EMS agencies we cover. Please do not send us messages or emails requesting help. If you need assistance call 911 or call your local non-emergency number! 13. *******Please DO NOT POST INFORMATION that you hear on the scanner. If there is a post on this page, then we are covering it and there is some information we do not want posted. Also DO NOT send us messages asking us for updates. When there is information we can post, we will post it when it is safe to do so. ************* 12. Once we receive an update to a call we will post it. If there is no update due to them moving to a back channel or off radio then we can not update it. If there is not an update then that means we are not on. Because if we aren’t on, then we didn’t hear it and if it isn’t posted then we don’t know. If we our on we will post it when it is safe to do so, so please DO NOT ask. This takes time away from us following calls when we are on. 13. Also, if you need a better location We will try to post a google map when we have the time. These are just a few of the major ones that we felt we needed to highlight.Please do not tell us it’s your first amendment right.. This is a private page and that does not apply here. If your post was deleted it was because we as Admins did not feel that it was appropriate or feel that it did not add to the discussion. Do not take offense if we delete your post. If we feel that it was a rule breaker we will address you individually. We have left the comments open because we want you to take part in each post and add to it.
