Video One Productions, Inc. Mobile & post production facility in Nashville,TN After two years in operation, broadcasting full-time Christian programming, TV-61 was sold. was chartered.

Video One Productions, Inc.’s roots date back to the early 1980s when Sam Embry, who had been a video enthusiast for some time, began using his personal video camera and recorder to video tape the weekly services at his church for the purpose of providing home videos for the sick and elderly who were unable to attend the weekly services. In 1985 Sam, along with other members of his family, formed

a partnership and Good News Television Productions went on the air with Nashville’s first Low Power Television Station, TV-61. It was at this time that Video One Productions was established as a sole proprietary. A few short years later Sam took on his son Nick as a partner and the father/son team worked together building the company. God blessed their efforts and in 1997 another son, Nate, came on board and Video One Productions, Inc. Although many things have changed over the years the family atmosphere at Video One hasn’t. Nick oversees all on location production/mobile truck operations and Nate is the head editor. In 2010 Sam handed over the reigns to his 2 sons and retired from the video business. Over the years the Embrys have seen a steady increase in the company client base and have worked together to make Video One Productions, Inc. what it is today… The one place you need for all your video/audio requirements. A production facility where you can come and enjoy the stress-free atmosphere as you watch your video project come to life. We look forward to being of service. May God Bless!

Here is a clip from our Demo back in 1997. We had recently purchased our first "non linear" computer edit system (our then edit suite C) but this was edited old school with tape machines and several computers that just had one job each. There was one for controlling the tape machines, one that did the character generation/graphics and another that controlled the DVE (picture manipulation). In addition to the computers there was a video switcher, audio console, video scopes and a few other things to do what can now be performed on a laptop computer.
