"Passenger and crew safety remains our top priority at Malaysia Airlines," stated the airline.

Meanwhile, Mount Ruang, located in the Sitaro Islands of North Sulawesi, Indonesia, erupted yesterday, emitting lava and ash clouds, creating an alarming atmosphere. As a result, Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Geological Agency raised the alert level for Mount Ruang from Level II (Alert) to Level III (Warning) on Wednesday.

According to reports from Kompas.com, this decision was made following increased monitoring revealing significant escalation in volcanic activity since last Tuesday.

Hendra Gunawan, Head of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Geological Agency, stated that visual and seismic activity at Mount Ruang has shown a notable increase, prompting the elevation of the alert level.
