Director Jack Jameson has been in conversation with Jocelyn (Topsy) and Josh (Tim), now all-grown-up. Thanks to these 3 great people for their generous time - here’s a snippet of their first conversation.
The actors who played Topsy and Tim were aged 7 when filming began. We asked them each for a memory from that time and they also kindly agreed to these then/now pics:
Josh: “The first time I did secret Santa was December of 2013 with the Topsy and Tim crew. I remember getting Graham the lighting gaffer as my Secret Santa. 8 year old Josh thought a light bulb was something he would’ve liked, it was.”
Jocelyn: “...my favourite episode to film was Birthday Party, because of all the party food and games, so for an 8 year old it didn't really feel like filming, more just like having fun for a day.”
Fantastic to see Lovely Little Farm sitting amongst a bunch of superb nominations for Rose d'Or 2023, Children and Youth category. We are proud to be included and best of luck everyone!

Who remembers when iPlayer’s dedicated CBeebies’ page displayed the weekly top 5? Here’s a screen grab of 13th Dec 2013. Our leads Jocelyn (Topsy) and Josh (Tim) who were both aged 7, are now aged 18. Both have agreed to a then/now photo (which we’ll post tomorrow). Clips from a Zoom chat with Jack Jameson will be shared later in the week.
Topsy and Tim celebrates its 10th anniversary this week.
On Saturday 11th November it will be 10 years since the first CBeebies TX and we’ll be posting about the show all week. Well done Kay Benbow for taking a chance on a first ever under-5’s serialised drama with a 60-episode commission in 2013, stripping the show Monday to Friday, which the audience loved.

The song ‘Happy as a Pup’ has to be one of our favourite #LovelyLittleFarm musical moments!
