So, I had a very unusual dream. I got up at 6:30 to use the restroom and went back to bed and when I went back to sleep I dreamed that I had been invited to be like a greeter on a trolley tour. It was Halloween night and I wasn't 100% sure why they had invited me so I had brought a young pandora. Because pugs. So I had pandora, I had some sort of Halloween shirt on, a cape, and a water bottle or something that was also Halloween themed. And basically there was nothing for me to do except kind of sit there and talk to the driver but as we went around he had some treats which Pandora ate. We ended up at a stop in a park and I had gotten out and while I was holding her I looked at her and I realized that half of her I was missing. And I started to panic and I was trying to call Mom and then I stopped because I realized at that point that Pandora had passed away and that this was a ghost. And we got back up on the trolley and we continued our tour and it was fine. Her eye also reformed....but I don't think that has ever happened to me before. Ever. I don't remember a dream where it was somebody I knew, I saw their damage that ended up leading to their death, then I knew it was a ghost in the dream and we continued on.

This was so sweet. As I mentioned in my last post this is a really rough week. Wednesday night Pandora ended up in the emergency vet and came home with a ton of meds and a follow-up visit with her doctor that friday. The meds worked for a short time and then were ineffective and Friday we had to make the choice to release her from her mortal form and to find relief.

Several odd things happened. The Friday of her appointment, while I was preparing to teach a live online class for college from my home, I was setting up the computer and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a little black pug standing there. A year and a half ago, Pandora's littermate, a black pug named amazing grace, died unexpectedly of cancer. Pandora never did recover from that loss and definitely became much more reclusive from the rest of the pug grumble. I've often found that siblings will hang together and sometimes wait for the other one if one passes first. Well, I looked directly at the spot and there was nothing there so I shrugged it off as periodelia and perhaps wishful thinking. But when I looked back down at my computer keyboard to finish logging in, I'm pretty sure I saw that little black pug there again.

I kind of shrugged it off because I had to get ready to teach my class and I didn't see anything for the rest of that morning. We had the vet appointment and it did not go well and we finally had to let her go. And for some reason, on the way out from the vet, I told Mom that it came to mind when Pandora and her sister Grace slipped out of the backyard through a tiny tiny space between my gate and the fence and ran through the neighborhood. They terrify me but because everybody knows I have pugs they were returned. But those two girls thought it was hysterical and had a great time. Well, a little image of the two of them running and playing and having a great time kind of involuntarily passed through my head. The two sisters are united and back again.

I mentioned on my main page getting some flowers and mixing Pandora's ashes with them and planting the flowers and her ashes in the grounds next to Grace's grave in the yard. And one of the artists today brought me these beautiful mini roses to do just that.

Also, super excited that we got a potpourri episode done yesterday! I have one more episode to do this month, but we were successful and getting some wonderful information about a feline spirit with DJ, and we had a return check-in from JC Ski!

There's going to be a slight delay for the episodes to be published because Pet Life radio is going to the pet expo in Orlando this weekend! It is their 12th year doing this so let's wish them luck!

And with any luck we'll actually get a sponsor for this show. Right now, and for the past decade, it has been a labor of love but this Paranormal investigator would love to have more passive income! And technically, is not that passive because putting these things together is a little bit of work. :)

Today is a double birthday for the Stark clan pugs! Neotolomus is now two years old and Patroclus is 12.

Again, I would like to remind you all that I'm constantly amazed at the odds of getting two pugs, 10 years apart, different reasons, completely different breeders, different counties, and to have two of them land on the exact same birthday. I don't know about you all but I'd love to calculate the odds of that happening. Neo was also found literally months after I started my search.... Whereas Patroclus was more of an impulse purchase at the time. Both boys were also the last of their litters to get a home.

Tomorrow, Ajax turns two. Once again, complete happenstance. Mom was looking in the paper about a month after we got Neo and discovered Ajax being advertised half price because nobody had gotten him because he was so large and he was the last of his litter. There were I think three people ahead of us who were looking at him, I felt safe so we put ourselves on the list and sure enough every single other person backed out and we ended up with Ajax. Different breeder, different county, different reason, and only a day after the birthday of the other two.

Grace died unexpectedly, and even though this is technically not a birthday, I had hoped to find the woman who was responsible for Ajax. I mean he is a gorgeous pug and so sweet. All the contact information I had would not go through. It turns out she had changed carriers we found out later. I was looking for a black female pug because Grace died unexpectedly. Mom was looking in the paper and there were no black pugs advertised but she saw an ad for Fawn pug puppies. She had me call on it and lo and behold out of all of this randomness, it was Ajax's breeder. We told her that we were looking for a black pug girl and she had just had a litter that she was not even advertising for that had two black boys, a fawn boy, and one black pug girl. And she is Ajax's half sister.

Which is why all of this stuff becomes weird after a while.

We finished up with world's largest ghost Hunt, and even asked a few questions about how they felt about the pugs. Those that did contact us seem to agree that the mature pugs were fine but apparently my young boys, Neo and ajax, who will end up being the next generation of paranormal pug are still a little wild. I will have to have a conversation with these entities to let them know that the only way I can get these boys to calm down is with experience and time but I am definitely keeping their recommendations in mind. Not time to retire Patroclus yet!

And much to my shock, we even had an encounter with a paranormal canine that I've only heard about three times at our location from people who have seen it. That may end up becoming its own paranormal pet episode.

Still accepting art for this show. But it's taking on some legs and I'm getting much more support this year. The flyer was created by Jane Byers and her team. And my press release was picked up by the Tampa Bay newswire. Fingers crossed that it keeps on going!
