Recording Live Performances
Music has always been integral in my life from the time I first remember hearing the needle drop on a vinyl record, perhaps it was the Beatles or Simon and Garfunkel. I was always intrigued about the way this fancy machine created the beautiful sounds that I was hearing. I started playing music on a viola in 4th or 5th grade and quickly moved to electric guitar and finally on to Bass. It didn’t take long until I had found some friends and we went into the basement and decided to record some noise we were making. The process of that captured not only a memory, but a lifetime of intrigue.
Fast forward to today and technology has progressed to a point that I could afford to jump into the game. I’ve been working with some of the best in the local scene to refine my craft, and am always finding more to learn and different ways to record. I currently specialize in multitrack soundboard recordings. I’ve found that a person can shape the sound in so many ways and learning the tricks that others have used has proven to be well worth the time spent in order to create a lasting memory and archive. I always think back to the way those early stereo records sound when I sit down to a project. How did they create this effect or that effect and I try to stay as true to that process as possible. I also came up through the beginning of the digital age when the ‘Volume Wars’ were big. If a huge loud sound with thundering drums and screaming guitars are your thing, then I can create that sound as well.
To get to the point, I’d like to record your band. Drop me a line and let’s work something out!
