This page is dedicated to the Rutgers Radio show, Trephagon (pronounced treff-uh-gone), which can be accessed on the radio frequency of 88.7 FM or at our live stream on http://radio.rutgers.edu. Trephagon is a radio show that prides itself in being the most diverse metal radio show around...from pirate metal to deathcore, from power metal to sludge, and everything in between. On this page, you wil
l find information about the hosts of the show (Jeff and Ryan,) the music that is played on the show, the playlists for each individual show, the time slots the show will be played each semester, and much more! This page also serves as the hub of discussions started on Trephagon either by the DJ or by the listeners. If you wish to make a request or want to give or receive a shout out, you can either call our request line, 732-932-8800 during our shift, or make your voice heard on the page and let us know what you want to hear! Just make sure that your requests are clean to make the DJ's life a bit easier! Do you want to get your music heard on FM frequencies? Do you want to appear on the show with your band to gain exposure? Perhaps even perform LIVE on the air in the studio? To send us your music, address physical copies to:
Attn: Metal Director/Jeff Loftus

To send digital copies or inquire about performing LIVE on Trephagon, email us at [email protected]. When we receive music, the metal department meets together and listens to the music to decide if it's something we would play on our shows. As long as one person says they like it, the music will be added to our playlist to be played on the air. If you are in a local band and your music gets added, it will be in playlist FOREVER as opposed to being taken out after about 3 months of rotation. We try to keep our playlist up-to-date, but we also try to appease the local scene, which is why local music stays in playlist forever. Trephagon always wants to give back to the local scene, so get in contact with me via the FB page, email, or physical mail so that I can help you out. In return, I ask that you spread the word of this radio show to other local bands you know and your fan base! That way, everyone can listen in and send their music to us as they please. If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to write on the page's wall or message us.
