Bathysphere Books A Bathysphere is a giant sphere-shaped vessel used to explore the deep seas in the early 1900s.

It is lowered into the water by a cable connected to a boat and is known to go as deep as 3,000 feet (245 meters). Today the machine is completely outdated, but it still leaves me in awe whenever I see one in a photograph. Those were the days of adventure, bravery, and wonder.

バチスフェアは大きな球体の船で、1900年初期に深海を調査するために使われていまし

た。船体はケーブルで繋がれ海中に吊り下ろされるようになっており、２４５メートルの深さまで達する事ができました。

テクノロジーが発展し、バチスフェアは今ではもう時代遅れのものとなってしまいましたが、バチスフェアの写真を眺めると未だ畏敬を感じてしまいます。謎の多い深海へと進む唯一の手段だったバチスフェアが活躍していたその当時は、冒険と勇気と驚きで溢れていたのでしょう。
