I have to thank Physiopros Performance Rehab one more time for their support of my being able to ride through the Deep South with Chix at the Crossroads this past June. Their physical therapy services are top notch, so if you're in the area and you need any type of physical rehab, pay them a visit and let 'em know I sent you!

Photo of me during the ride, at FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. I rode 3,444 miles in total during that trip, and thanks to Physiopros, I had no problems at all with my foot!

Of course I also need to thank my podiatrist/surgeon, Wendy K. Stinson, DPM. She's a miracle worker, and I would highly recommend her as well.

Popa Chubby, blues performer extraordinaire, is incurring huge medical bills due to ongoing, debilitating health issues. Much of these costs are not covered by insurance, and he cannot work while undergoing treatments.

I knew Ted when I lived in NYC in the early 80s to early 90s (and some of you will understand exactly what I mean). Although he may not remember me, I recall him and his musical talents quite well. The Lower East Side was teeming with fabulous performers during that era, but he always stood out. And he's endured... until now.

Do I know anyone local that can help me select and install a UConnect 8.5" screen for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee? The screen delaminated and all functions (radio, navigation, etc.) are going crazy. This happens at around six years old, the service guy at Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge says. So I guess I'm right on time. Ugh.

I have two choices if I want to get it fixed:
1) Buy a new radio for about $600 (not including installation, I guess)
2) Buy a new aftermarket screen (there is no MOPAR screen replacement available to the public)

Although this is a known, and very common, problem, there is no TSB for it. The problem is not covered by anything except maybe an extended warranty which I do not have.

The screen is a much cheaper way to go, but not all aftermarket screens are created equal. So I can use some help here. TIA!

Many of the Chix are already on the road to Maggie Valley, North Carolina, for the start of Chix at the Crossroads. And everyone is invited to three events where you can meet us and check out our bikes!

1) Come and see us off at Dale's Wheels Through Time on Monday, June 17. We're staging our bikes at 9:00 a.m., with kickstands up at 10:00 a.m.! You're also welcome to stop by on Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 p,m. on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday morning, June 16, between 10:00 a.m. and noon. While you're there, visit the museum to view one of the most spectacular moto-collections you'll ever see!

2) A welcome party is planned for Saturday, June 22, at Spacey's RocknRoll Tattoo in Meridian, Mississippi, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There will be live music, art, food and refreshments... and the coolest folks you'll ever meet!

3) We'll be celebrating the near-conclusion of the ride at Hopson Hospitality in Clarksdale, Mississippi, on Monday, June 24, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Chef-prepared dinner and refreshments are available for purchase, and there will be live music.

We hope to see you at one, or all three, of these locations! And if you do show up, make sure you introduce yourself!

I just wanted to thank Physiopros Performance Rehab once again for sponsoring me on the Chix at the Crossroads ride coming up next week. Although my PT stint has been completed (for now), I was really missing the staff there... until I got an invite to their Customer Appreciation Party being held in a few weeks! It's the first time I've worked with any medical/therapeutic professional who has done this. That just goes to show the kind of folks they are. Sadly, I'll actually BE on the ride when the party takes place, but I'm told there will be more scheduled in the future. Thanks again, guys!

Another shoutout to Gun For Hire, LLC who is sponsoring me for the Chix at the Crossroads ride, as well as being a sponsor for the ride itself! Last night I participated in the range's Pistol Shoot-Out Competition, which was SO much fun! I've competed in GSSF (G***k) matches before, but this match series was different.

The pistol matches I've seen and in which I've participated previously involve a stationary target at a fixed length, so you know where you're shooting and how many rounds. In this case, the RSOs programmed the electronic target system to randomly choose a distance and to flip the target at random times. You never know when the target is gonna stop and flip, so you'd better be ready!

I competed in three different sub-compact matches with three different fi****ms, and wow, what a blast! Literally! I know I didn't do so well (my aim is generally okay, but I need to speed things up to improve my accuracy). But I'm still eligible for prizes, which will be announced Friday.

Fun day that started out with brunch with Laura Andresen and Cee Bee, and lots of talk about our upcoming Chix at the Crossroads ride. Laura wanted to check out some dual sport bikes so she and I (Cee Bee had otger commitments) went to Xtreme Machines Motorcycles to see what's available. Very kind and helpful salesperson Jack showed us a lot of possibilities, and while Laura liked a Kawasaki KLX300, I accidentally fell in love with a Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. Tell me why I shouldn't get one!

Next was a visit to Calgo Art in the Garden 4/20 which offered craftspeople, food and refreshments, live music, and of course some beautiful flowers and plants. Some of the artisans we really liked were Cindy's Concrete Creations, Craftsman Woodworks, and Tom’s East Coast Photos. And get got to see Tom's dad, Indian Tom, as well!

Hopefully we'll see a bunch of you tomorrow at the Jackson Moose grand opening party!

Tonight, eight of us gals went to Girls Night Out at Gun For Hire, LLC, and what a blast we had - literally! For just a few dollars, we enjoyed a great dinner (tonight was Italian food), range time, and camaraderie. The RSOs were really helpful, and some of the women who hadn't been to a range before got some assistance help from Valentina, who was patient and a great help. It was fun for me because I got to introduce some of my friends to red dot optics. I really hope some of them join the range, because I could sure use some shooting buddies!

I hit a big milestone with my recovery yesterday. I did my entire PT session without wearing shoes! That might not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but it's a giant leap of progress for me. And it's all due to the guys at Physiopros Performance Rehab who know how to push me past my points of resistance, when all I want to do is whine, complain, go home, and go back to bed. The experts at Physiopros know how to get results! They're supporting me in so many ways to be able to ride the thousands of miles for Chix at the Crossroads in June.

Thanks to Physiopros Performance Rehab for sponsoring me on my Chix at the Crossroads travels. I've been going to Physiopros for three months, post-surgery, and if it wasn't for their therapeutic approach, I doubt I'd have been able to get back on a motorcycle so quickly. Their support has also lessened my financial burden; I'm not only going on the ride in June, I will have done two pre-ride scouting trips down south before that, costing lots of $$$ !

The Physiopros approach has worked so well for me because their course of therapy is completely individualized. Plus they provide exercises for me to continue my therapy while I'm on the road.
