Zé was exposed to the social aspect and culture of Kizomba from an early age. Since 2014 Zé has attended many bootcamps, festivals and teachers seminars both in Australia and Portugal having completed certified Kizomba/Semba teachers training in with world renowned teachers Ricardo and Paula from ALC (Portugal) and Eddy Vents (USA) in 2018. He has taught International workshops in India, Singapore, Malaysia and East Timor and continues to travel teach and learn within Australia and around the world. Zé introduced this beautiful dance in Darwin in 2014, and holds a great wealth of knowledge and a great network learning from some of the best instructors in the world. He believes in developing students in a fun and educational environment passing down his knowledge and real life experiences to help students grow. Now is the best time to learn this beautiful dance. Emphasis on shuffle, contra tempo. *Personal reflection* I’ve had some ups and downs in the years I’ve been involved in this beautiful dance. learnt bad habits, corrected my mistakes and I continue to seek and learn from some inspirational and knowledgeable teachers. Knowledge is always key in any dance form and I’m content with where I am in this dance even though I’m still a baby in Kizomba terms. I’m not the same teacher or dancer I was a year ago and I believe if you truly love something you will push yourself to learn. The journey and learning will continue for many more years to come. #myhappyplace

We are back tomorrow for our FINAL CLASS of the term. Make sure you attend the class we will be adding our final movement to our beginners class. This movement is pivotal and the last one in our LAYER 1 series. In the final intermediate class we will be working on technicality combining inside and outside movements to the rule of 3 while consolidating everything we’ve learnt. Kizomba and Afro Dance Weekender!! What an amazing weekend it was! We’ve been hosting events and workshops since 2015 and I have to say this event was one of our most memorable ones so far. The energy, positive vibes from everyone who attended made it one to remember! Thank you to Hannah Melder Mwaba Mubanga for bringing those incredible vibes, it was the first time we added an Afro element and it was a massive hit! We can’t wait to host this event again soon with you both. Thank you to my right hand man FrankeeVince Man for your help during the event capturing some incredible moments and also helping with our artists. Thank you Jenna Lacey for helping me push the event with some great promotion. Here are the survivors of our final class of term 1!! Amazing people and beautiful students! For the one's who missed today's class its okay we forgive you just this once 😋 I'm very proud of the growth of this group some have never danced Kizomba before but have really put in the effort and time to refine techniques taught from the term! I'm looking forward to Term 2 and the journey ahead. We will be having our practice session in two weeks with some nice announcements coming soon 💯❤ 🔜

We had an amazing time in Perth teaching at the Awake Festival! Spreading some love for Kizomba, Semba, Music and Culture ❤ Remember to Join us for our FINAL CLASS of the term this Wednesday! We are going to consolidate the entire term. This will be a class designed for our students to apply and practice what we've covered. We will also be putting on a pratica between both levels to help you ask any questions and to continue dancing.
