👋 Come along to our free webinar demystifying mental health publishing for underrepresented voices!

‘From Proposal to Publication’ is a virtual event for anyone interested in writing mental health non-fiction, from professionals to people with lived experience keen to share their stories.

We are especially aiming to reach out to people who haven’t published before and who identify as being from an underrepresented group, particularly those from Black, Asian, Mixed heritage, and ethnic minority communities. We know the road to publishing can feel intimidating – especially for voices that are too often unheard. This session is here to help change that.

🎤 What to Expect:
✔ Practical guidance from JKP editors and marketing professionals
✔ Insight from Dr Chuks Nwuba, author of Eating Disorders Don’t Discriminate
✔ A live Q&A to answer all your burning questions

Registration is now open, and you are encouraged to provide information about your interests to help shape the session’s content.

22/11/2024

As autistic self-advocates, our personal stories hold a lot of power: they are sources of strength, tales of overcoming barriers and adversity, and a way for us to assert agency and receive the support we might need. But how do you actually disclose your diagnosis? How do you tell teachers, support staff, colleagues, friends, or anybody else about your disability and account for their varied reactions? Or, if you're a parent or ally, how do you tell the person you're supporting about their own neurodivergent identity and culture?

Talking the Talk About Autism by Haley Moss is your guide to navigating all of these questions and more—whether you're looking to share your own story or supporting someone else. Empowering, insightful, and practical. Available now at www.JKP.com
