💨⚓️⛵️First day of regattas, the forces present and the medal winners⛵️⚓️💨
🟡 This morning the four classes invited to race the Vintage Yachting Games 2024 each ran two races on two separate rounds, in a moderate wave and a west-southwest wind at times approaching 20 knots. A few abandonments, capsized and towing have mobilized the water safety teams without ever damaging the crews' spirits.
The first crew of each class was awarded a gold medal.

− Star : FRA 8196 Raoul Dabry
− Soling : NOR 131 O.84Kristian Nergaard
🔵 With the 17 Soling teams in line for the title of European Champion, the plate is at a very high level and there are many contenders for the title. Of the seven foreign crews, four are from the Netherlands, the other three are from Norway, Hungary, and Canada.
🟡 Among them, the Norwegian Kristian Nergaard, on 0.84, European Champion 2023 who will defend his title against two triple world champions: Canadian Peter Hall on CAN 225 Obelix (2011, 2012, 2014) and Hungarian Litkey Farkas on HUN 11 Process Solutions as well 3rd place in USA world championship 2023
🔵 Not forgetting Rudy Den Outer on NED 33 Sophie’s Choice, former North American champion in Soling in 2021, winner of the 2008 and 2018 VYG.
