Lights! Canberra! Action! Filmmaking Festival

LCA is a tight-timeframe short filmmaking festival that has been running since 2004 and aims to showcase Canberran filmmakers and locations. Filmmakers are given a list of ten items to include in their movie, with only ten days to shoot, edit and produce a seven minute film exploring a theme which changes each year.

The screening of the top twelve finalists has been taking place outdoors in the Senate Rose Gardens at the Museum of Australian Democracy for the last several years, with the awards winners announced immediately after the screening.
