Hello Soul:r family and all friends and followers of Marcus’ work 🙏🏼

Today we are launching the Trevino ‘Back’ LP on Marcus’ Birdie label. ‘Back’ is the follow-up to his ‘Front’ LP which was released in 2016, also on the Birdie label. Marcus was putting the final touches to this LP in the final months leading up to his tragic and untimely passing.

It was a few years before we the team at Soul:R - Ayumi, Ants, Geoff, and Pat could start to think about releasing this LP but ultimately we came to the decision that Marcus would want it to be heard. Marcus' mother Pat says “Marcus will be looking on smiling saying well done, but what took you so long! I am sure that BACK will be well received by lots of people who appreciate Marcus’s Trevino music, it’s been a labour of love!”

The LP will be released on 26th of May 2023 marking the sixth anniversary of Marcus’ passing (28th May 2017)

We hope you can join with us in celebrating the man's impeccable talent, and enjoy this testament to his versatility as a producer and artist. Back is a moving, beautiful LP and we feel lucky to have this to cherish along with our many memories of Marcus.

While Soul:r will not be releasing any new music, we wanted to keep selected back catalogue items available on vinyl to supporters of Soul:r, Marcus, and the label's vital legacy. Not every release is able to be repressed due to parts no longer being available to us, but we have worked hard to ensure some of the most in-demand items will be made available again.
