Our Story

Want to know more about Sweet Freakings? Allow me to give you the back story about how Sweet Freakings was just a little inkling of an idea and burst into popularity almost over night...

Heather Marie, the host and producer of the Sweet Freakings Show has always had a deep rooted passion for music; an emotional connection. It was her life. It kept her moving, expressed feelings that she couldn’t explain, and was something she fell back on during down times, as well as times of celebration and mundane days.

An undercover nerd and a flair for entertainment, she decided to give birth the the crazy-cool idea of starting a small podcast to do in her off time in order to help musicians and bands that deserved the exposure. Before ever recording her first show, she decided to get the idea out there and see how people responded, all the while creating hype in order for the first show to be dropped with a following. (Gotta love marketing!)

Upon announcing her idea to close family members, her idea was well received and was offered an interview spot on a radio show aired on an AM station; 1380 the X. The Brain Child of Heather Marie was loved. Within a week of the interview she was offered a spot for air time for the show. It aired on the weekend during the morning. First it was a two hour show. Heather Marie was honored and excited about the new spot, although she had not even gotten the show together. It was sn*******ng faster than she could think. Luckily, she works very well under pressure.
