Uyo, Akwa Ibom - Governor Pastor Umo Eno is urging citizens to remain calm and not participate in the planned nationwide protest on August 1. He fears the protest could turn violent and cause harm to people and property.
In a press conference at the Government House, Governor Eno shared his concerns. “We don’t want what happened during the #EndSARS protest to happen again. We lost a lot during that time, and it made things worse.”
Governor Eno wants people to work together to find solutions to the country’s economic problems. He highlighted the efforts his administration is making to help citizens, including distributing food and money to those in need and creating jobs.
“We’re doing our best to help,” he said. “Let’s work together and find a way out of this difficult time.”
The governor’s message is clear: let’s keep the peace and work together for a better future.
