Fledge: A Journal of Outstanding First-Year Writing Fledge is published bi-annually by the Department of Writing and Linguistics at
Georgia Southern University. All other rights are reserved by the authors.

We are dedicated to showcasing the emerging
talent of students enrolled in English 1101 or 1102. In addition to publishing
student work, Fledge is edited by a Writing and Linguistics major who serves as
the department's Media Intern. We accept both student submissions and faculty nominations on a rolling basis. If you're interested in submitting to Fledge, or nominating one of your students,
