MortarNBrique is co-founded by Tonya Giddens & Jill Monroe. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Tonya Giddens is a former plus model who considers music and entertainment her first love. She has been featured in Sister
2 Sister magazine, Fashion Manuscript (the bible of the fashion industry) and has appeared on Fox 5’s “Good Morning New York”. She also executive produced and hosted her internet radio show, “SoleTALKIN”, on Blog Talk Radio. In addition to these accomplishments Tonya is a runway coach, makeup artist, and Beauty Director for Full Figured Fashion Week™, the first official Fashion week for plus size women. Jill Monroe was born and raised in the South and Midwest. Growing up in a diverse & eclectic environment, she was quickly drawn to academic studies & the freedom of creative outlets. As an accomplished multiple college degree holding individual, she evolved her talents into writing, music production & media management. Jill has worked with multiple companies & accomplished music artists helping to establish their brand & provide a blueprint for business success.
