As one of the residents of Bengeworth, I’ve noticed a decline in cleanliness of the streets. Bengeworth’s streets are covered in overgrown vegetation, cigarettes boxes and buds, plastic bags, rapers etc… the north side of the river has had the councils full attention, let’s not neglect the south side, that’s Evesham too. #evesham #Wychavon #CountyCouncil
Today (6th June) marks the 80th year anniversary of the D Day landings (operation Overlord), a pivotal moment during the second World War where tens of thousands of British soldiers set sail from Portsmouth to cross the Channel, to France and advance to liberate northwest Europe. It was the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare with more than 150,000 allied troops landing across five beaches in Normandy, France. We will remember them. Royal British Legion will be hosting a service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum on 6 June 2024, at 2 pm, from the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire.#wewillrememberthem #lestweforget #DDay80 #DDay80thAnniversary #Dday #ddayanniversary #evesham #worcestershire #history #abbeypark #eveshamabbeypark #royalbritishlegion
Have you seen Evesham’s ‘Rapunzel tower’? (well that’s what my daughter calls it!) Leicester Tower, here in Evesham, located North of Greenhill - you can sometimes see it poking from the trees when traveling towards Chadbury from the Twyford roundabout. The tower was erected in 1842 in memory of Simon De Montfort, father and founder of the British House of Commons. He was defeated at this location by King Henry 3rd, during The Battle of Evesham in 1265. It’s part of the Battle of Evesham walk and accessible from a lane named the Squires, just off Greenhill. #leicestertower #evesham #worcestershire #history #simondemontfort #britishlandmarks #battleofevesham

We should NOT be held ransome as a town to the state of our traffic. 23 minutes to go from the railway bridge to the police station. The County Council need to do better. Evesham deserves better. We deserve better.
It is fantastic to see our police officers on the beat in Evesham. 🚔🚓👮♂️👮♀️👮
The town was alive, with a reported 30+ thousand visitors to the town - all thanks to The Battle of Evesham, medieval market which took place this weekend. We very much look forward to the battle re-enactment later this summer. Check out 👉Battle of Evesham👈 for more 🗡️ #evesham #wychavon #worcestershire #battleofevesham
