Walk-In Admission in Doon University in B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry and B.Sc. (Hons) with Research in Chemistry

Doon University is a premier institution of higher education in Dehradun (Uttarakhand). It is a State Government University. Chemistry Department of Doon University was launched in the year 2015. Within a short duration of 08 years, the Department has emerged at National Level due to the high standards of teaching and research activities. This Department offers PhD program and B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry Course.

There are some seats vacant due to confusion among students regarding their dependence on CUET in admission. On 10th August 2023 (Thursday), Department will offer walk-in admission to the students on the basis of either entrance test or on the basis of the percentage of the students in their 12th Class. It may be a golden opportunity for the students who have suffered due to CUET.

The curriculum of the course is in accordance with National Education Policy 2020. If the students want to exit after completion of three years, they will be entitled for obtaining B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry. However, after completing 04 years, students will get the degree of B.Sc. (Hons) with Research in Chemistry.

The students of this Department are allowed and oriented towards research activities since beginning of their B.Sc. Due to exposure to research, they become successful in securing admission in M.Sc. or in Ph.D. in foreign universities of the developed countries.
