If you are in Italy, Do not miss this day trip Montrriggioni !
Honestly, with so many mishaps in Italy in multiple cities (topic for some other day), this was one of my best experiences!

You can easily book your day trip to the beautiful Winery from Florence.

I was solo but was accompanied by a huge group of fun and different types of travellers and got to interact with many. Did cheese tasting, wine tasting, seeing the making process, different types if oliver oil, winegar, fun, games, and what not. Just in a few hours !!

A typical Italian winery farm experience i would love to go back again n again !

Love at first sight 💙

1. **World's Largest Art Museum**: The Louvre in Paris is the largest art museum in the world. Covering over 72,735 square meters, it houses nearly 38,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century, including the iconic "Mona Lisa" and the "Venus de Milo."

2. **Historical Evolution**: Originally a fortress built in the late 12th century by King Philippe Auguste to protect Paris from invaders, the Louvre was transformed into a royal palace in the 16th century. It wasn't until 1793, during the French Revolution, that it became a public museum.

3. **Glass Pyramid**: The Louvre's famous glass pyramid entrance, designed by architect I. M. Pei, was completed in 1989. The modern structure, which stands in stark contrast to the classical architecture of the museum, was initially controversial but has since become a celebrated symbol of the Louvre.

= Brussels = capital of Belgium

Its not just about if you have plans to go or would want to go there someday, if you love travelling you would love to know about the world nevertheless 🫶

Here are five fun and interesting facts about Brussels:

1. **Comic Book Capital**: Brussels is often referred to as the comic book capital of the world. It is home to many famous comic strip characters, including Tintin and the Smurfs. The city even has a Comic Book Route, a series of murals throughout the city depicting scenes from various comics. 📖

2. **Manneken P*s**: One of Brussels' most famous landmarks is the Manneken P*s, a small bronze statue of a boy urinating into a fountain. This quirky statue, dating back to the early 17th century, is often dressed in various costumes for different occasions 😂

3. **Atomium**: The Atomium is an iconic building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair (Expo 58). It represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times and features nine interconnected spheres, which visitors can explore.

4. **Home of the European Union**: Brussels is often considered the de facto capital of the European Union. It hosts several major EU institutions, including the European Commission, the European Council, and the European Parliament, making it a central hub for European politics. 🏫

5. **Beer Culture**: Belgium, and Brussels in particular, is renowned for its beer culture. The city boasts a vast array of breweries and beer cafes, and Belgian beer is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. 🍻

The castle that got me awe struck with its beauty ♥️🫶

The Neuschwanstein Castle is an impressive 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace.

It’s nestled at the top of a rocky hill, near the border with Austria. It’s the castle that inspired Walt Disney to create the Magic Kingdom. The idyllic setting and the magnificence of the edifice itself make it one of the most visited castles in Europe. Guided visits take 35 minutes, but you should wear good shoes and get ready to climb a lot of stairs. Photos are unfortunately not allowed inside the castle.
Location: Neuschwansteinstraße 17, 87645 Schwangau, Germany
Open: April – mid-October from 9 am to 6 pm, mid-October – March from 10 am to 4 pm

Ardhanareeshvara is a combination of three words “Ardha,” “Nari,” and “Ishwara” means “half,” “woman,” and “lord,” respectively, which when combined means the lord whose half is a woman. It is believed that the God is Lord Shiva and the woman part is his consort Goddess Parvati or Shakti 🕉️

I am both Shiva and Shakti.
I am everything that is both male and female, physical and spiritual, light and dark, all in one moment that will last forever ☯️

"Hapiness is as exclusive as a butterfly, and you must never pursue it. If you stay very still, it may come and settle on your hand. But only briefly. Savour those moments, for they will not come in your way very often.”
― Ruskin Bond, A Little Book of Life 📖
-----------------------------

Tired, sneezing and coughing with a soar throat and little fever, a little girl excitedly went towards the little book store where she hoped to meet THE author.
But alas, age !

Ruskin bond was one of the first few authors as a kid that made me fall in love with reading. "The night train at Deoli" it was, and i have been enchanted by all his books since then. Its sheer beauty and gets you absorbed in it completely! 🫰🏼

It was not planned but when i was nearby i couldn't help but try my luck to meet the man. I had read online that he not only stays near Mall Road of Mussoorie but also visits this book store every week. Thats the beauty of traveling i love, visiting pieces of yourself you have in places. The little girl in me was so excited but alas. Due to old age, he happens to have stopped visiting there. I was so sad and disappointed but the sheer feeling of sharing at his place hoping to get a glimpse of him (pic 5) of viewing his signed books at the book store was a so blissful.
There itself, I happen to find this postcard and i knew i had to keep it.
I guess thats what they mean when they say that growing up years builds the foundation of who we are as individuals . The innate love for mountains and the yearning to be there every time probably had one of its source from his books back then.
Its like a full circle.

I do not have fancy edited pics or videos with the Indian flag. I didnt make any stylish colour combined reel as well. I do not probably know all states and their capitals by heart. I have not picked up the regional language of the state i stay in. I am vegetarian. I have also not explored the whole country yet. I have criticised it like others many times. I am as flawed as anyone, but i never felt more connected to my country more as well.

Only when we step out, do we realise the value of home. Same for country.
I have started appreciating and embracing the beauty in its little things- helpful strangers , availability of soul-satisfying good food easily, being able to use washrooms anywhere, cheering unanimously on 22nd Jan or crying unanimously on 19th Nov, being able to call family when stuck, access of cheap local transport and fancy luxurious stays, that pahado waali maggi ya ghat waali lemon tea, bioluminescent beaches to adventure activities, sukoon at mandir or whole night party, ease to roam around freely alone many places or going to the fav brewery every week, bike ride in ladakh to desert in thar.... the list is endless.

Every country has a "theme" as i say, something its known for, famous for. But ours? We have almost everything one can ask for !

Yes, before you think, we have our flaws. But let's not forget its been nearly 70years to have come out of 200years of colonialism, including partition and wars.

Please feel free to criticise when we are headed wrong, but in the process let's not forget to appreciate the half full glass.

"Koi bhi desh perfect nahi hota, use banana parta hai" and the first step is to accept it as your own.

and yes, dint litter , pleaseeeee 🙏

* Hotspot ! *
What is it?

Every month we will tell you about a place that is not very commonly known or explored by much but is enchanting in itself.
Know about the mysteries and beauties of the world and experience them yourself, for travel is the only thing we buy that makes us richer.

This month we have-Neemrana Fort Palace
Neemrana is an ancient historical town in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, situated at 122 km from Delhi and 150 km from Jaipur on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Behror tehsil and was built in 1464 AD !
Neemrana Fort-Palace is located on a high hillock and commands magnificent views of the surrounding beauty. It is among India's oldest heritage resort hotels. Its name derives from a valiant local chieftain named Nimola Meo.
It is the site of 16th century hill-fort occupied by Chauhans till 1947. The erstwhile ruling family is considered to be the direct lineage of Prithviraj Chauhan.
Some distance from Neemrana is another fort, Kesroli in Alwar district, that is one of the oldest heritage sites. Historians trace it to the Matsya Janapada of the Mahabharata times. In Kesroli one gets to see the oldest remains of Buddhist Vihara at Viratnagar where the Pandavas spent the last year of their exile incognito; Pandupole, with the only reclining statue of Hanuman; the samadhi of the ruler saint Bhartrihari.Located in the heart of the 'golden triangle', Kesroli is almost equidistant from the tourist sites of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. It is used as a base to visit the Sariska tiger sanctuary, Kankwadi fort, Neelkanth Temples, Pandupol, the monuments of Tijara, Siliserh Lake, Bhangarh-Ajabgarh, the hot springs in Talvriksh, the sanctuary in Bharatpur, Baba Khetanath Ashram, the Jat mud fort of Govindgarh, the ancient city of Mathura and its renowned museum.

The Story of Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is considered one of the modern marvels of the world created under orders of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. He wanted it to be a mausoleum for his deceased wife. However, some evidence suggests that the building is about 300 years older than Shah Jahan himself. Professor P.N. Oak of New Delhi claims that the building was originally an ancient Hindu temple known as Tejo Mahalaya dedicated to worship god Shiva and that Shah Jahan had merely made some changes on the existing temple & dedicated it to his wife. It is not too far-fetched a theory, for Indian kings have a history of seizing enemy temples and mansions and repurposing them into tombs for their loved ones. Until the Indian government let experts investigate the sealed room, the mystery prevails
