Special Marine Warning issued until 3:45am for LA and Long Beach Harbors, Dana Point, Port of LA, Catalina Island including Avalon due to a thunderstorm near Newport Harbor capable of producing chaotic winds, small hail and waterspouts.

Lots of lightning across Southern Nevada starting around 3pm yesterday then spreading out over eastern SoCal this morning and even over the South Bay and across the coast of Ventura County. A few hundredths of an inch fell over the Palos Verdes Peninsula as of around 8am.
