I'm often asked for tips on where to find great editors and ghostwriters, but also fellow writers interested in working as editors and ghostwriters will ask me the reverse of the question.

The answer I have is Reedsy.

I've been a specialist on Reedsy for many years, taking on a select few projects at a time, either as ghostwriter or editor (depending on how proactive the client wants to be). I've ghostwritten and edited best-sellers and award-winners (no, I can't tell you which books, that's part of the deal with ghostwriting).

If you're a writer looking for extra projects that help other writers, Reedsy is the best platform to be on. If you're looking for help writing a whole book or a proposal for a book, then Reedsy is the best place to look. It's full of friendly, professional editors many of whom work at major publishing houses and freelance on the side, or are top level writers of their original works who like to help others.

Check it out here: https://reedsy.com/p/noah-charney

Reedsy allows authors to find and work with the best publishing professionals: from developmental editors to book cover designers, publicists and translators.

I'm delighted to announce the publication of a book, Forgers & Thieves, which is part of a brand new series. We have teamed up with Bloomsbury/Rowman & Littlefield to create the world's first art crime book series. This book, and one by longtime friend of ARCA David Gill, are among the first to be published as part of this groundbreaking endeavor.

There has never been a dedicated book series focused on academic and non-fiction books on art crime and related topics. We're proud to be launching the first one. Many other books will follow, and I'd welcome you to contact me directly, as Series Editor, if you are interested in proposing a book yourself.

Rowman & Littlefield is America's biggest independent publisher, and was recently acquired by Bloomsbury, one of the biggest publishers in the world. Together we hope to bring the best writing and scholarship on art crime to the fore.

Consider pre-ordering Forgers & Thieves or any other book in the series to come. A percentage of profits goes to support ARCA.

This book is the latest on art crime by the founder of ARCA, Noah Charney, PhD, widely considered the world’s leading authority on the history of art crime.

My latest TED video just dropped! It's all about Munch's "The Scream." And hopefully will be as interesting as the video next to it, which is all about earwax.

An undulating sky melds into the landscape, two silhouettes move along a balustraded walkway, and a ghostly figure’s features extend in agony. Since Norwegian artist Edvard Munch created "The Scream" in 1893, it’s become one of the world’s most famous artworks. But why has its cry traveled so ...

My latest interview is with Fascinating Nouns on--you guessed it--the Mona Lisa, and Picasso's role as an art thief

Just the mention of the name "Mona Lisa" sparks images of a cherub faced woman, half-smiling, hanging on a wall at the Louvre. This is true of almost EVERYONE on the planet, but that was not always the case. As a matter of fact, the Mona Lisa is kind of famous for being famous, and all that started....

I was invited by USA book discovery website, Shepherd.com to give my '3 Favorite Reads in 2023': Dostoyevsky/Vonnegut/Nabakov -
'The Brothers Karamazov is on a vaster scale than Dostoyevsky’s other novels, less concentrated along one line of supreme intensity. And yet, all the power still bursts forth, in moments where the innards of the characters seem to explode outward, penetrating the reader’s soul. It is hard not to be conscious of the fact that Dostoyevsky wrote this novel following the death of his own three-year-old son. The novel seems to constitute a re-piecing-together of the author’s mind, and, as this was his last book, a final statement on life and death, love and loss.'
