Update: Still waiting!

Willow and Winter are 4 year old healthy Great Pyrenees sibs who are very bonded .
Their owner dropped them off at a friends never to return . In time the friends dropped them off to be euthanized at a local vet office . The vets office seeing 2 sweet friendly healthy girls called us .
These girls remind me of children . At times listening well at other times not so much . Loving on each other 95% of the time with an occasional 3 second spat then back to loving on each other !
But they are very sweet loving girls who find them selves with no family no fault of their own .
They walk well on lead and are house trained . They do well with Cats but they have proven in the past that they would do better as the only dogs in the home. They were not raised as LGDs so they will not be placed as such.
A fenced yard is required .

As temperatures rise, it's crucial to watch for signs of heatstroke in our canine companions. ☀️🐾

Heatstroke can be life-threatening, but early recognition saves lives! Look out for excessive panting, drooling, bright red gums and or tongue, and difficulty balancing.

If you suspect heatstroke, move your dog to a cool place, offer water (not ice-cold), and seek veterinary care immediately. Let's keep our pups safe and cool this summer! 🐶💦

🐾 Urgent Notice: Code Red Situation at Fayette County Humane Society 🐾

Dear Fayette County Community,
We are facing a critical situation at the Fayette County Humane Society. Our shelter is currently 18 dogs over capacity on our main run, and we are now housing over 90 dogs. Unfortunately, we have reached a point where we cannot accommodate any more dogs.

To address this urgent issue, we are taking the following measures:

Reduced Adoption Fees: Effective immediately, our adoption fees are reduced to $40.00. This fee includes essential services such as vaccines, dewormer, flea and tick prevention, and a spay/neuter voucher, which also covers the rabies vaccine.

Emergency Appeal: We urgently need your support. If you’ve been considering adopting a furry friend, now is the time! By adopting from us, you not only provide a loving home to a dog in need but also help alleviate the overcrowding crisis.

Spread the Word: Please share this post with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can find forever homes for these deserving dogs.
