Have you seen red kites before?
This species is native to the U.K., however we drove it to local extinction due to hunting. BUT in 1993 Gigrin became the official reintroduction and feeding station following a request from the rspb_love_nature. This would increase their chances of survival and re-establishment. From the release of a breeding pair, fast forward 20+ years and there are now over 600 of these beautiful birds here, free to come and go as they please 🙌🦅
This site is also now the Red Kite Rehabilitation Centre, run in conjunction with The Welsh Kite Trust, allowing kites, that have fallen ill or been injured, to recuperate after having any required veterinary care elsewhere

Eden project is a charity that opened in 2001. They turned an old China clay pit quarry into two giant biomes (shaped like soap bubbles🧼), which are the perfect environment for two indoor worlds, a rainforest and a Mediterranean haven!

The number of comments I’ve had from people, both online and in real life, is just totally mind boggling. My favourite is when I was told that it would be “easy” for me because I can just “smile and charm people with your pretty face to get where you want to in your career”, no, I will succeed because I am talented and have worked damn hard and will continue to do so to keep learning and growing every single day!! Last week, I was up on the Isle of Mull, filming the final parts of the story for the film that I have been working on about the amazing (and incredibly cute) otters we have here in the UK 🙈🦦
This film will be finished by the first week of December, and I can't wait to share it with you all, but for now, I wanted to share some BTS clips of the edit and footage review that we sat and did every evening (as we wrapped each day very early, about 4pm, due to how early it now gets dark, so had lots of time to kill at night). This reel even includes a little sneak peek of some of the footage captured with the orphaned otters that are being rehabilitated by the UK Wild Otter Trust.

The magical moment when this orphaned otter swam for the very first time 🥺🦦
As cute as this may be to see, it is bittersweet because this baby should really be learning this from her mum in the wild. The ukwildottertrust took her in after she was found at the side of a road with her two siblings with no mum in sight. After weaning them off milk, it was time for them to learn to swim, and become a proper wild otter, before they can be released back into the wild next year. Her siblings didn’t do so well, and just wanted to get out, but she was an absolute superstar and was so happy to be swimming around for the very first time!
