The world is watching! The thrill of victory! The power of international competition! The only series of competitions to find and crown the best aspiring performing artists on earth! This worldwide search culminates annually with the prestigious World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood, California, the entertainment capital of the world, and its celebrated live webcast of the fi
nals. Each year, countries send their best and most outstanding talent to the United States. Over the course of a heated week of events, these competitors go head to head “Olympic-style” in a wide variety of competitions. In each category there will be a fierce contest of skills to see who is truly the most accomplished in the world. Each winner gets a coveted gold medal which brings with it the respect and admiration of people around the world along with potentially a career opportunity of a lifetime. A total of $300,000 USD in scholarships (by New York Film Academy, New York Conservatory of Dramatic Film and Television, Millenium Dance Complex) is awarded. The incredible strength of national pride pushes each and every one of these competitors to give their best and the result is a must see event. Sean Wong, Director of Worldstars Media, represented Singapore in 2009 and clinched 7 coveted awards, including 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal for singing, 1 Gold Medal for acting, 1 industry award and 1 overall champion award. In 2012, the WCOPA in Hollywood was held from 5-15 July. Team Singapore clinched a total of 15 prestigious awards, including 2 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, 1 overall winner award and 1 industry award. The outstanding talents who performed in various categories of singing, acting, dancing, instrumental and modeling are: Ethel Goh (8 years old), Tiffancy Park (14 years old), Adelyne Fung (29 years old), Michelle Loh (29 years old) and Matthew Quek (35 years old). Selection for TEAM SINGAPORE 2013 was carried out since November 2012 till February 2013. The Worldstars talent selection contest was held at MEDIACORP STUDIOS on 9 March 2013. Winners of this selection contest received sponsorships, including a free air ticket to Hollywood, Los Angeles. During the contest, representatives of Team Singapore were appointed. After a week of world-class competition in July 2013, Team Singapore returned victorious, bagging a total of 60 coveted international awards in this "Olympics of Performing Arts", including 19 Gold medals, 16 Silver medals, 7 Bronze medals, 5 Industry Awards, 12 Overall Division Champion Awards and a prestgious Scholarship from the famed Millenium Dance Complex! Worldstars Media will be launching a book on Team Singapore and a music album featuring Team Singapore talents by 2014. In 2014, shortlisted participants performed during the Singapore Championships Of Performing Arts before a panel of celebrity judges during the showcases held at IMM on 16 March 2014 and at The Star Vista on 13 April 2014. 7 outstanding young talents were selected and confirmed as representatives of Team Singapore 2014:

During the 18th Annual WCOPA held in July 2014, Team Singapore won the coveted World Championship Title for the Vocal Group category. The female group SASS emerged as the winner of the VOCAL GROUP OF THE WORLD award! This is the first time in 18 years that Team Singapore won a World Championship Title at WCOPA since its inception. Team Singapore bagged an impressive number of 25 prestigious awards (1 World Championship Title, 10 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, 4 Bronze Medals, 5 Overall Division Champion Awards) and a Scholarship by the famed Millenium Dance Complex! Worldstars Media will be launching a book on Team Singapore and a music album featuring Team Singapore talents by end 2014. We are now conducting the auditions for WCOPA 2015. Unlike any other local competitions, this is a unique international arts development program, where all participants will learn in depth about international performing arts from the best in the Hollywood industry and we will involve representatives of Team Singapore in future projects promoting local performing arts internationally. Categories include Vocal, Dance, Acting, Instrumental, Modeling and Variety Acts. For the junior categories, we welcome children and youths from 5 and above. For the senior categories, it will be for 16 till 40 years old. Each participant will be assessed according to stringent criteria based on performing arts skill, stage presence, entertainment value, marketability and potential to be an international artiste. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to outstanding participants. One participant will receive the highest award of full scholarship, covering all expenses of airfare, accommodation, WCOPA participation fees and boot camps. All performing arts talents registering for the Hollywood Preparatory Program in 2014 will be offered the opportunity to represent Team Singapore for the 19th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts held in Hollywood (11-20 July 2015). Those who are shortlisted should seek own sponsors in advance. Non-Singaporeans who have been residing or studying in Singapore for at least 1 year, may also participate and represent in the non-Singaporean division. However, no scholarships will be provided. Professional artistes with outstanding track records may be invited by Worldstars Media to represent Team Singapore without audition. You will be required to submit your personal portfolio, 1-minute performance videos or track records of your performances by 30 September 2014. Only shortlisted performers will be notified. Registration fee is S$100 per participant. Worldstars Media provides personal branding and consultancy services to serious individuals who require professional performing arts coaching. Through the licensed Hollywood Preparatory Program, you will be trained by a panel of appointed performing arts coaches for a period of 2-6 months.
