Our vision is to become a catalyst for social change, for new ideas, and for broadened perspectives on campus and in the greater Seattle community. Our aim is to cover the diversity of perspectives on social justice: highlighting the incredible work of fellow students, of news and events shaping the world, and encouraging readers to become active members of their community. Recognizing that we do

not have a monopoly on the voice of social justice and activism, we encourage students, faculty, and other members of the community to write in and contribute. Each issue will have a dedicated space, an “open forum,” for people to write in and share their experiences and opinions. We want The Catalyst to be a space for the entire community to have a voice in the conversation on social justice.
