JOBBER SHARE NEW SINGLE "PILLMAN'S GOT A GUN" FROM THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM "JOBBER TO THE STARS"

Talking about the song, Kate shared:

"The song grew out of my profound appreciation and fascination with Pillman after learning more about his iconic moments and his life. Some references are overt, but his story made me think a lot about how the pressure that comes with cultivating a chaotic persona can trap you in a cycle of constantly trying to outdo yourself.

For the video, we went all out to celebrate Pillman by building a shrine filled with artifacts honoring his life and memory. I shared the idea with my friend Brittany Reeber, who is an incredible director, and she had amazing, creative suggestions to use production design, choreography, and mysterious, atmospheric elements to bring the concept to another level. She also brought in Jayne Clark (production designer) to make the shrine look beautiful and spooky while also incorporating all sorts of fun Pillman easter eggs for wrestling fans to hunt for (a Hart foundation teddy bear, action figures, and his ‘screw you' sunglasses, to name a few).”

We’re going to raffle off four test pressings of Ovlov’s debut LP “Am” to benefit Mutual Aid Los Angeles Network. One raffle ticket costs $5 and you can buy as many tickets as you want. More tickets means more chances to win! We’re going to limit the winners to one test pressing though, we want to avoid a situation where one person wins multiple times. Spread the love!

To get your raffle tickets, just send money to on Venmo in multiples of $5. We’ll accept raffle ticket payments from Monday 2/3 to Monday 2/10, midnight to midnight EST. Then, on Tuesday, 2/11 we will livestream the drawing. Stand by for details of the livestream!

it's a very big day over here at exploding in sound records.

we're unbelievably thrilled to announce the reissue of Grass Is Green's seminal debut album "Yeddo," on vinyl for the first time ever. pick one up for Bandcamp Friday (or get one when you catch them live in January). it is a very limited pressing and will not be around forever.

this is one of the most important albums in the world to us over here at EIS and we know everyone is going to love it (if you don't already).

we also brought back some classic EIS tee shirt and hoodie designs! also over at bandcamp for this fine bandcamp friday.

lastly but also very exciting, it's time for the EIS 2024 sampler. Nine solid gold hits. We're so incredibly proud of our bands and the music we have the privilege to release. check it out.
