S***t 🙌

At 2pm - 4pm Christopher Long is launching his new record label Almost Unknown at Just Dropped In records in Fargo Village, Coventry.

During these two hours Chris will be selling copies of his first release a six track limited edition (250 hand numbered copies) EP by the Coventry band S***t, and the band will be attending to support Chris.

Come along if you can , the record is awesome!

Chris’ idea behind the label is to rediscover music that was either unreleased after being recorded or has long been deleted and forgotten. Chris’ first release is a limited edition (250 hand numbered copies) 12” vinyl EP from the Coventry band S***t who were around in the early 1980s. Although some demos were recorded in 1981, using a TEAC recorder owned by Toby Lyons (The Colourfield) and a mixer owned by Jerry Dammers (The Specials) nothing was released until the track ‘Brief Call’ appeared on the first Alternative Sounds CD some 6 years ago. Interest in S***t emerged earlier this year when Australian engineer / musician / producer Mikey Young named ‘Brief Call’ (taken from the Alternative Sounds CD) as one of his top 10 tracks from the millions on Bandcamp. News of this was picked up by Chris Long and his first release - using cassette recordings still held by the band - was decided upon. To support Chris and the release of the EP, S***t will also make a personal appearance at Just Dropped In. The band will be together for the first time since 1982.
