The Subtopian is concerned with where society, Democracy and even humanity will end up in the near future. Founded by Trevor Richardson, author of American Bastards, The Subtopian Magazine is dedicated to the belief that through community, artistic and philosophical relationships we can create a more personal and cooperative future. With that in mind we are experimenting in some new features in th

e publishing world. We want to be accessible to our writers by offering a level of transparency in the publishing process. We are also featuring an ongoing public platform for a new kind of film writing, "The Critic's Critic," in which people from all over can publish their critiques of big movie reviews they disagreed with. Follow us, submit work, read the work of others and become a part of a growing literary community that strives to be more than a magazine.
