Just a reminder of why I continue doing what I do and where my journey began after nearly 20 years of subcontracting for the U.S. government. Advocating for the Positive Peace framework by the Institute for Economics and Peace truly transformed my research approach. I went from testing ‘proof of concept’ for government entities to uncovering the ‘root causes’ of instability in regions often overlooked. It’s been an eye-opening journey.

Sudan Crisis Update

Urgent Crisis Alert: Siege in El Fasher 🚨

The city of El Fasher is currently under siege, resulting in a catastrophic blockade of essential supplies. The Rapid Support Forces have cut off access, leaving thousands of vulnerable people, including many women and children, without crucial resources like water, food, and medical aid. The situation is particularly dire in refugee camps, where internally displaced persons are experiencing worsening conditions day by day.

Sudan’s Military Push for Power Structure.
In a bold move, General Yasir al-Atta of Sudan’s ruling council has called for the establishment of an alternative governing body through pro-military Popular Resistance Committees. This action bypasses ongoing power-sharing negotiations and seeks to exclude political groups accused of backing the RSF. Al-Atta’s plan includes electing state and national parliaments, which would then appoint a prime minister and state governors. This initiative challenges efforts for a ceasefire and comprehensive national dialogue, heightening tensions in Sudan’s ongoing conflict.

🌍 As a peacebuilder and counter malign influence strategist (media literacy), I am thrilled to be affiliated with some incredible organizations in the nonprofit industry! 🤝✨

I am proud to be an independent research consultant for ARAC International, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting global peace and human rights. 🕊️💙 Through my work with ARAC, I have been able to make a meaningful impact on conflict prevention strategies in Africa, by making my work and services freely available to advocacy groups and civil society organizations dedicated to advancing human rights and conflict prevention 🌍✨.
