Colour is a short noir horror, loosely adapting HP Lovecraft’s ‘The Color out of Space’ in a 20th century setting: when Howard comes into contact with a colour beyond human perception, he rushes to the family doctor for help. But whatever it is already has its claws in him, with terrible consequences.

Colour, releasing online on April 10th, loosely adapts 's 'The Color out of Space' but moves the setting to a grimy, industrial setting, which echoes 's decaying buildings and the thrill of the hunt through 's mysterious underground.

Lisanne Falk is Norma in Colour, our noir-horror short film releasing on April 10th. When a family friend comes to her in the middle of night seeking medical advice, Norma gradually encovers the true depth of what his wrong with him.

Lisanne is best known for her iconic role as Heather McNamara in the cult classic film . She also appeared in Jim Jarmusch’s Night on Earth, Cameron Crowe’s Say Anything and Less than Zero. The film, Shattered Image, on which she also served as producer, was an official selection for the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals.

Charlie Merriman is Howard in Colour, our noir-horror short film releasing on April 10th. When Howard comes into contact with a colour beyond human perception, he rushes for help, only to find that whatever it is already has its claws in him.

Charlie is an actor and writer who has the medical condition cystic fibrosis. His debut one-man show WONDER DRUG: A Comedy about Cystic Fibrosis sold out its run at London’s VAULT Festival and played to the Pleasance Courtyard at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023. Credits prior to his role in Colour include Helenus in Cassandra for the Ukrainian Institute London and Dioneo in Raunkiaer’s The Heptameron.

Our graphic designer for Colour was Jocelyn. Jocelyn is a talented and multi-disciplinary designer who had worked on Raunkiaer's previous film The Heptameron. On the poster for Colour, she was inspired by Saul Bass - but gave it her own, more modern twist.
