The party at The Grain Exchange Thursday night will feature food, beer, cake and popular Milwaukee figures and mascots.

Charles Franklin, Professor of Law and Public Policy and director of the Marquette Law School Poll, will be the featured guest at a Newsmaker Luncheon on Wednesday, November 13, hosted by the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com.

Franklin will be analyzing the results of the election and the presidential race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as the U.S Senate race between Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican Eric Hovde.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Off the Record, the Milwaukee Press Club’s new beer. We’ve partnered with the good folks at Black Husky Brewing to create this newsworthy amber IPA. You can taste it yourself at our beer-release party and fundraiser at Black Husky on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. The more beer we drink, the more we contribute to local journalism scholarships. We’ll have a great set of raffle items too. And come hungry because Pedro's South American Food truck will be on site. Hope to see you there. Cheers!

Join us this year to honor the newest members of the Media Hall of Fame presented by The Milwaukee Press Club. The event will be held on Friday, October 25 at Saint Kate, The Arts Hotel, 139 E. Kilbourn Avenue in Milwaukee. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., with the induction ceremony immediately after dinner.
