How many people in the valley travel to Pueblo or Springs for healthcare now? How many Medicaid Ride cars do you see whisking people off to front range physicians?
We pushed our local hospitals to become triage & transfer centers because we doctor elsewhere. Why do we doctor elsewhere? Because many of us can? Because of dissatisfaction with local options? Why? If a premier world renowned medical center was located in the valley with top doctors and diagnostic equipment, would you ever go to the front range? Why hasn’t it been a priority to become one? Who sits on these hospital boards? What do they really know about medicine? Why aren’t YOU on the hospital boards? Do you keep people in power who support/ oversee poorly run facilities? Do you passively let others run critical infrastructure?
These issues are becoming increasingly urgent because we have poor leadership and disappointingly low citizen participation.

We all pay our elected officials and the attorney fees they incur to draft and pass inconsequential resolutions regarding other regions, state, and federal affairs.

Stop electing 🤡s. Their need to feel relevant should not cost taxpayers 💸. Stop being the 🤡 who pressures them to waste time on matters OUTSIDE of the areas they were elected to SERVE.
