While his rider was able to jump to safety, Donny the horse fell more than 100 feet down a ravine in Jamul on Sunday evening. Rescuers planned to use a helicopter to lift the injured horse out the next morning, but it was super overcast and the choppers couldn’t take off…

The 8-year-old horse fell Sunday evening while on a ride in Jamul. Initial plans called for a helicopter to be used to lift him out of the ravine but weather made that impossible.

There’s not enough room on the lawn for the placards.
