As @hart_twig said, we are PASSIONATE about the use of practical effects, and have made a strong effort to incorporate them in all of our films thus far. BABY FEVER is no exception! This film has so much gore & goop, plus creature puppets and body horror galore! Our amazing SFX artist @carlomery27 of @badsidefx will be tackling this as his biggest dept head project yet! We can’t wait to see what he comes up with…🩸🪱

BABY FEVER takes place in 1972, pre Roe V Wade, and unapologetically tackles issues of reproductive rights and bodily autonomy through the body horror medium. While the film takes place 50 years ago, it still speaks to the current generation’s struggle for safe and accessible abortions.
With the recent Texas abortion ban and the continued legal battle amongst state lawmakers, the film could take place in present day-and is tapping into real and relevant socio-political fears and anxieties.
