NEW from @saintdisruptionpodcast: @oteil_burbridge shares his first experience of @jahman_rondo ‘s poem about the connection between bass and the black american journey.
The bass line Oteil created to accompany Jahman’s poem took him back to his early days in Southeast Washington, DC.
The impactful lyrics resonated with Oteil’s current stage of life, prompting him to create a rolling banjo-like groove with a rolling quality and smoothness reminiscence of water, showcasing Oteil’s unique interpretation of Jahman’s incredible poem.
