On the afternoon of March 5, our school held a high-level talent signing ceremony in Conference Room 418 of the Administration Building and appointed harpist Yu Dan as professor of the Orchestral Department. Deng Guoan, secretary of the school party committee, Cai Qiaozhong, deputy secretary of the party committee and dean, and Peng Weili, member of the party committee and vice dean, attended the meeting. The signing ceremony was hosted by Peng Weili.

On behalf of the school party committee, Deng Guoan extended a warm welcome to Professor Dan’s arrival. He said that talent is the first resource and the core force that promotes the high-quality development of school education. Professor Yu Dan has profound artistic attainments and rich practical experience in the professional field, and will inject new vitality into the teaching, scientific research and discipline construction of the harp major in our school. The Orchestral Department must plan its teaching staff well, strengthen the echelon construction of harp professional teachers, attach great importance to talent reserves, and effectively play the team-leading role of Professor Yu Dan.

Deng Guoan emphasized that signing an agreement for talent introduction is only the first step, and how to play the role of talents after arriving at the school is the key. Relevant functional departments should strengthen linkage and close cooperation, provide corresponding supporting services, ensure that talents can devote themselves wholeheartedly to various tasks of the school, and give full play to the engine and driving role of high-level talents in professional construction, discipline development, talent training, etc. It plays a core supporting role and serves as a demonstration and driving effect to promote the school to achieve connotative development at a higher level.

Cai Qiaozhong expressed his warm welcome to Professor Yu Dan to join the Xinghai family and congratulated Professor Yu on winning the honorary title of national high-level talent from the Ministry of Education. It is hoped that in terms of talent cultivation, Professor Yu will effectively use international resources, expand the source of high-quality students, and cultivate first-class talents; in terms of curriculum construction, promote the internationalization of curriculum construction and make breakthroughs in the construction of first-class courses; in terms of international exchanges and cooperation, invite top experts Come to the school for lectures and exchanges; in terms of academic research, we will promote the construction of a harp academic base and strive to establish a Chinese harp art center. Cai Qiaozhong emphasized that the school’s current main task is to concentrate on the construction of doctoral programs and create a talent training highland in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The human resources department and the orchestral department should actively cooperate to implement the relevant terms of high-level talent employment contracts. All relevant functional departments should do a good job in supporting services and provide daily management and services such as teaching, scientific research, art practice, international exchanges, logistics support, studio configuration, salary and benefits, etc., so as to provide good working conditions and life for high-level talents. environment.

Yu Dan said that she was very happy to become a member of the Xinghai family and thanked the school for its trust and support. Yan Qi, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Orchestral Department, introduced the progress of the introduction of high-level talents. He said that Professor Yu's joining will have a significant role in promoting the construction of the talent team of the Orchestra Department and the construction of the harp major. Professor Yu is planned to be included in the core teaching team to give full play to the leading role of talents and strive to build a talent training system from the Affiliated High School, undergraduate to graduate students, assisting the construction of the school’s doctoral program.
