The latest SLCTS entry is now online, curated by LA-based marvelous Selector/DJ, music supervisor, and producer Mathieu Schreyer.

Born in France and moved around the world, living in North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia before settling down in Los Angeles, Mathieu's journey in music is as rich and diverse as his youth, from captaining the airwaves of KCRW to orchestrating original soundtracks for some of the contemporary times most notable cinematographic works, namely Michel Gondry's "Human Nature", or Jon Favreau's "Chef".

Over the past, he has worked with artists such as Tricky, N'Dea Davenport, Spacek, Syreeta, Chali 2na, and Leon Ware (Marvin Gaye). He's also landed remixes for Les Nubians, Talib Kweli, Dwele, and Yusef Lateef. At present, Mathieu is closely collaborating with talented Brazilian artist Roger José Cury on his upcoming album "Curyman II", He also curates a weekly show for the new radio platform ROVR. and regularly plays records across multiple venues in Los Angeles.

Dear people,

It's been 22 days since the devastating earthquake registering a magnitude of 7 has struck Morocco, the strongest to hit the country in a century, resulting in profound grief over the loss of nearly 3,000 lives and injuries to more than 5,000 individuals. 50,000 houses have completely or partially collapsed from the tremor, and the World Health Organization assessment indicates that the earthquake had an impact on over 300,000 people. This has left many individuals and families in need, with homes and essential infrastructure severely damaged and entire villages completely wiped out of the map.

In response to the catastrophic events, 9 Moroccan artists « Cee Elassaad // Chryzalid // Casa Voyager / Guedra Guedra - كدرة كدرة - Abdellah M. Hassak // Saad Elbaraka / Kosh // Polyswitch // Raskas - راسكاس // saib. » have contributed their talents to create a warm and comforting collection of songs that aim to bring solace and hope to the victims, a collective effort giving birth to "MUSIC FOR RELIEF" as a humble endeavor to provide support to the communities affected.

"DIAL212" is back for its 9th installment tomorrow on Echoboxr Radio - Join our host Polyswitch as he welcomes the outstanding Indonesian trio, Batavia Collective

Batavia Collective, as the name suggests, is a group of Jakarta-based, Afrocentric musicians who are equally influenced and driven by the sophistication, ruggedness, and high artistry of future jazz, liquid funk, electronic soul, and everything in between, as it is by the gritty, uncompromising and hard-hitting streets of Indonesia’s capital. Consisting of Elfa Zulham on drums, Doni Joesran on keys, and Kenny Gabriel on synth bass, the trio presents genre-bending music that combines mind-altering synths, energetic grooves, and neck-breaking tempos to produce a sonic feast that excites the body and stimulates the mind.

Following a series of stunning singles, and in celebration of their latest EP “BTVC”, released earlier this month on the Belgian music powerhouse R&S Records the trio's multi-instrumentalist Kenny Gabriel who is also a skilled DJ, has assembled an hour-long mix consisting of the band's musical influences and favs.
