Episode 67: Let Trump Be Trump, of A Satellite View is now live!

Trump is getting out and proudly being himself. The Republican Party is scrambling to clean up that mess.

This has been a long week for them. And they've used up almost all of their cleaning chemicals.

But they've got another four-and-a-half months of cleaning up after him.

He's the elephant in their parade, and they don't have a large enough garbage trailer to scoop up the f***s he's dumping on the parade route.

The more America sees his true self, the better it will be on election day.

I have a daughter who loves to read…a lot.
She has trouble picking out a new book to read so she wraps them in gift wrap then picks one and surprises herself with what she’ll be reading next.

I was playing some atmospheric music on the guitar on the back porch and noticed two deer coming closer and closer, seemingly drawn to the sounds. It was beautiful and surreal.
Then the next door dog came out and startled them. But they didn’t completely run away. It seemed the music was keeping them near.

Mass shootings. In 2014 there were 273 mass shootings. That sounds atrocious, right? Well, in 2021 there were 690.
In 2022, there were 647. In 2023, there were 604. Okay, so under Trump, up, up, up, up, up. Mass shootings, up, up, up. Now, in 2024, we're at 172, and we're almost halfway through the year. We're on a trajectory to be at maybe 300, maybe 310, or something like that.

It's BandCamp Friday!
Today I'm featuring another song from my new album, "All Us Ghosts".
This one is about communicating with a painfully missed person who is now on the other side. But it's optimistic about the inevitability of reconnecting sometime relatively soon.
Sonically, I feel it's perhaps my most successful mix downs of a complex layering of instruments. It's difficult to include all the ideas of cool sounds to accompany the song, but I got to keep all of them and somehow got them all to be heard individually and in concert in this song.

Anyone else get photos like this during the aurora borealis last weekend?
These looked like they were basketball sized maybe 40 feet overhead only in my iPhone screen while it was adjusting the shutter speed. I couldn’t see them with my naked eye. And they did not show up when I took picture facing away from the northern lights.
