Clarke County Sports was founded in 2003 by Moe Murphy and has covered a variety of high school, collegiate and professional sporting events over the last 13 years. The sight is now concentrating solely on Football covering Clarke County High School, Shenandoah University, the Virginia Chargers, and the Washington Redskins to name a few.

Today's win in Nokesville sends the Cougars to the state championship for just the second time in school history. Kettle Run will face off against Liberty Christian in the Class 3 state final next Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Liberty University in Lynchburg 🏈

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL: The Kettle Run High Cougars won the Class 3 Region B championship, defeating Thomas Jefferson 35-32 at Virginia Union University in Richmond Friday night.

Junior Colton Lubbe made the game-winning interception at the 1-yard line with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Cougars will next play Lafayette in the Class 3 state semifinals at home next Saturday, Dec. 7.
