Land pirates 🏴‍☠️, cider swimmers 🍻, and drum and/or bass likers 🎶 ahoy!

Episode 7 of the UK Festival Podcast is live now, and in it we chat with Ella Nosworthy, organiser-in-chief behind the legendary Nozstock The Hidden Valley and a fantastic laugh in her own right.

Tune in now for a heartfelt look at the magic of Nozstock and the spirit of festival life. You won't want to miss this one! Listen now at the link below:

https://youtu.be/dQvE1I11go4

We discuss the festival's early days, when as a youth Ella helped her dad grow the event from a BBQ with bands on the back of a hay trailer into the brilliant professional party we know today!

From scrambling to get first aid training and licenses 🏥📜 to managing the shift from a private party to a recognised festival 🎪, Ella shares the trials and triumphs of Nozstock's evolution.

The podcast dives into why Nozstock is moving away from running full festivals for the meantime, and might even offer a little sneak preview into the wonderful stuff they have planned for the farm in the future 🌱✨.

I ask Ella what makes her events so special, from the incredible family atmosphere 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and diverse music genres 🎵 to the vibrant, handmade decor 🎨 and the dedicated crew that feels more like a family than a team. She shares how every year, they’ve managed to create an unforgettable experience that feels like a private party with thousands of friends 🎉.

🎪 Oi Oi, Strawberry Likers and Fair Enjoyers! 🍓

We at the UK Festival Podcast had the pleasure of chatting with Mark Evans aboard his houseboat, the Estrella, which also serves as one of the Strawberry Fair HQ's. Mark, the mastermind behind the Rebel Love stage, shared insights into the history and challenges of running one of the UK's last legal free festivals.

We discussed the festival's grassroots spirit and how it brings top UK festival punk acts like Zion Train, Inner Terrestrials, and SPACEHOPPER to the stage, as well as how the free ticket allows the fair to have the grassiest of grassy roots.

Tune in to hear about:🎸 The best of British festival punk. 🌿 The unique challenges of running a free festival. 🚢 Behind-the-scenes moments aboard the Estrella.

Only three sleeps to go until we party on Midsummer Common! Catch our latest episode and immerse yourself in the true spirit of Strawberry Fair!

We had the pleasure of chatting with Dean from Circular Camping, an innovative company revolutionizing festival camping. 🌟

Circular Camping isn’t your average camping shop. They provide all the gear you need and offer pre-pitched camping options to make your festival experience hassle-free. What sets them apart? Dean and his team recover gear from messy festival sites and coordinate with charities, making their operation both sustainable and community-focused.

Circular Camping operates at major events like Download Festival, Bearded Theory (hope they’re managing in this rain!), Reading, and Leeds, Lost Village and more. Volunteering positions are still available for many of their events too so hurry on if you want a job thats all build and break!

Tune in to our latest episode down in the comments to uncover the secrets behind Circular Camping.
