An Indie Film Red Carpet Weekend!!!!!

Huge Announcement!!! Must Read!!! It has been a long time coming but finally 3 new films R&R podcast producer/co-host Derek Young directed will be seen on the same weekend which starts this Friday 17-18! Family Property 2: More Blood (Starring the late WWE wrester Mike Halac, R&R moderator Greg Tiderington (Special thanks to Martin Denny for doing a green screen for him in his hometown of Canada) and a cameo by Troma Team president Lloyd Kaufman), The Wright Family and Sweet 18! (Both films have an introduction by Tiderington playing a cryptkeeper type role as Dr. Damien Hitchcock. Special thanks to filmmaker Christopher Lee Gordon for shooting his stuff in his hometown of Canada).
The movies will have a red carpet event on Friday May 17th and Saturday May 18th at Hollywood Cinema in Martinsville Va. With the screenings happening from 7 until 11pm and will conclude with an after party/dinner!
Tickets at theater 5 dollars per movie per night. 10 for both on Friday 10 for both on Saturday or 15 a ticket covers Friday and Saturday! Come out meet the cast and crew and enjoy some locally made indie horror films! After this premiere the films are being submitted to festivals and awaiting distribution.

An independent flick “Beware the Boogeyman” is officially out on Amazon, Apple tv, and Vudu!
Please consider supporting local indie artists as this flick was well done.

Last but not least we will plan to do a podcast show again with some hopeful exciting guests to interview along with movies to review as Derek Young has been busy completing his projects in which we aim hopefully late spring/early summer to do another one. So hang tight!!!

*Next up they review the latest Scream sequel that's now available to stream. Plus this one is a real improvement. Listen as to what they say about it.
*Next up is an interview with upcoming Seattle indie horror film actor Jason Brooks as he discusses his work in shorts, recent features, fan films and upcoming flicks that is promising him a career in scary movies.
Of course there's music breaks by bands that are by artists that were used in Derek's flicks Midnight Matinee Psycho and Psychotic State.

Also iHorror announces that Nearly The Entire Remaining Cast of ‘The Thing’ to Appear at Texas Frightmare
In an unprecedented event, nearly the entire cast of 1982’s The Thing is reuniting at Texas Frightmare Weekend this spring, including director John Carpenter. His classic film turned 40 years old this year, and most of the cast is getting together to celebrate that milestone.

Collider announced officially confirmed that the franchise’s sixth entry is titled Scream VI.
On December 14, Paramount is unleashing the first teaser trailer for Scream VI.
For those hoping to get a glimpse of Ghostface on the big screen, you might want to get tickets to Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. That’s right, that means two ways to watch; online and in theaters. Collider reports that we should expect the teaser to run “about a minute-long.”
Scream VI will be bringing Ghostface back to theaters in full on March 10, 2023.

With summer (unofficially) over and the Halloween season now in full swing, these weekly roundups are about to get very packed with fresh new horrors both at home and in theaters!

Shudder is bringing the highly-anticipated and award-winning Shudder Original Saloum to their streaming service this Thursday, September 8, a Senegalese horror movie.
Adrienne King survived Mrs. Voorhees in the original Friday the 13th and she’ll be making her return to horror in The Dead Girl in Apartment 03, available on Digital as we speak.
This week’s biggest new release is the unhinged horror movie Barbarian, which has been earning rave reviews. 20th Century and New Regency bring it to theaters on September 9.
Director Steven C. Miller (Silent Night, First Kill, Escape Plan 2) is headed back to the horror genre with his next movie, titled Margaux and coming this Friday from Paramount.

If you remember R.L. Stine young adult horror novels of Fear Street well a 3 part trilogy is coming out and part 1 is available to watch on Netflix as last year it was going to have a theatrical release but due to the pandemic it was shelved.
