It’s definitely a shock to hear that some women in Korea are completely refusing to date, marry, or have children because they believe that marriage presents an “existential threat,” - they do not feel safe.
It’s also so heartbreaking to know that Korea’s fertility rate is 0.78, the lowest in the world…and that President Yoon Suk-Yeol blamed feminism for it.
The 4B movement is providing refuge, giving empowerment for Korean women…and so I wonder if there is positive change that could come from this strong movement.
