Gimlet Press is primarily a publisher of Poetry books, founded in 1989 by a Punjabi and a Senegalese poet. We are renowned for our prestigious poetry festival held each August in Glasgow, where (not surprisingly) a tidal wave of fresh talent sweeps us over and help us in seeking new authors for our publishing house. On our maiden visit to India in 2008, we attended the Kala Ghoda Arts and Literatu
re Festival, where, on witnessing the sterling bank of talent that this country has to offer and also after meeting like-minded individuals, we happily decided to launch Gimlet Press in India. Our decision led us to hire a team of bright youngsters to come up with a series of pilot projects for our company that would firmly establish Gimlet as the supreme poetry publisher in India.
