Indie Jane Press Indie Jane Press is the publishing arm of Indie Jane, the premiere independent Austen community. We love indie publishing.

We here at IJ are of a rather independent mindset. When faced with the choice between a well paved, if somewhat restricting, road or hacking our own way through the wilderness, we are the sort to pick up our machetes and create our own space. We don’t hold any grudges against traditional publishing. Traditional publishers have (and continue to) put out some really great books. However, we are exci

ted by possibilities of indie and self-publishing. We kind of have a thing for independent art in general. In the last few decades both film and music have benefited from artists taking personal control of their projects and destinies and now technology has opened up the same opportunities to authors. We are excited to be a small part of supporting this new era in publishing.
