What a great time I had welcoming our local Boys and Girls Scouts (Daisys) troops to the Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3 Court! It was a wonderful opportunity for them to tour the court and also learn how the justice court works. Our future leaders had so much fun as they actively participated in a little mock trial and put on the robe.

Additionally, special thanks to Sheriff Eric Fagan and the Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office for allowing us to stop by and check out all of the cool patrol vehicles and learn about the importance of safety.

I enjoyed celebrating our Fort Bend County interns today. My team and I visited Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Sonya Rash and watched her 17 interns present what they had learned over the past several weeks.

Judge Rash gave these students a terrific opportunity to learn about our legal system. Now, some of them say they want to study law. Congratulation to Judge Rash, her team and all of the interns.

Very proud of our Summer Interns. As one of our summer projects, we created an ice cream social, benefiting our senior citizens at one of Fort Bend’s retirement facility. This gave our interns an opportunity to serve our community and understand that part of being a good citizen is to work together, show compassion for others and respect our seniors. “We don’t have to do it, but we want to do it.”
