Fantom Rabbit - Mixing Potions (2025)

Mixing potions is an apt title for the ep from Fantom Rabbit. Virtually everything is being stirred into the pot and if you threw the contents at the wall virtually all of it would stick.

There are flavourings of indie rock, the driving beat of Kraftwerk that inspired a whole dance music scene, the sound of pop music dropping an e to dance all night in a club.

The ladies who danced to Calvin Harris and the guys who punched the air to Kasabian would find this to be where they would find the space for them to meet to laugh and sing together.

It has huge crossover appeal.

If this ep doesn't open doors for 'Fantom Rabbit' it says more about the current state of play in the music industry than it does about the quality of the music across the six tracks on it.

My guy Johnny Graham was using the studio for that Candlewax re-recording but it's been my turn again the past week.
Had another idea so rather than a 5 song EP, it looks like there will be a 6th addition, depending on how the production goes with it.
Either way, Mixing Potions will be out some time in October, which will mark 1 year spent on this project. Insane how quickly the time goes by!
